EPG INTRODUCES NEW KEYCOLOR ADELPHI PRESETTING AND

SCANNER INTERFACE SOFTWARE AT PRINT 09

Centerbrook, Connecticut (September 11, 2009)—New KeyColor Adelphi AutoSet presetting software and KeyColor Adelphi AutoKey scanner interface software, which enable continuous closed-loop color-control for greater productivity, are being introduced today by EPG (Essex Products Group, Centerbrook, Connecticut, www.epg-inc.com), booth 5437.

KeyColor Adelphi AutoSet utilizes CTP output to preset ink fountain keys on non-EPG ink control systems. Any ink control system on any press can utilize Adelphi presetting technology to help reduce setup costs. Adelphi AutoSet converts digital files to ink zone coverage and sends that information to the ink desk over a network connection or floppy disk. Precise preset values enable significant savings in makeready costs.

KeyColor AutoKey Adelphi offers customers the freedom to ‘close the loop’ and streamline production with other manufacturers’ color measurement equipment, as well as EPG’s new ColorSpec, also being introduced at PRINT 09. Color density data is read, compared to customer-set targets, and sent to the ink desk. Automatic adjustment of the ink keys for out-of tolerance density measurement helps maintain color quality throughout the print run.
