WEB PRINTING CONTROLS, INC. CHOOSES EPG
KEYCOLOR INK CONTROL TECHNOLOGY FOR INTERFACE WITH CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM
Centerbrook, CT (August 7, 2007)ÑEPG (Essex Products Group) announces that a KeyColor
E remote ink control system has been integrated with a Web Printing Controls,
Inc., Lake Barrington, Illinois, Closed Loop Color Plus (CLC) Plus system. The
combined technologies are installed on an eight-unit Harris M1000 press. EPGÕs
KeyColor System will drive the existing Harris DC servo actuators based on
input from the CLC.
The
EPG KeyColor E System is an economical desktop remote ink control system that
allows press operators to rapidly and accurately adjust ink key settings on all
fountains to assure color control, speed makeready, and reduce waste. Its design allows it to interface with
color-measuring devices, including on-the-web scanners and scanning
densitometers. The Web Printing Controls CLC Plus system, an on-the-web
scanning device, scans a color bar from a moving web to adjust both color
register and inking to target density values. By combining the EPG KeyColor
System with the Web Printing Controls Closed Loop Color Plus system the printer
is able to automatically maintain consistent color quality.
